Elena Werner
Elena Werner retired from a decades-long career as a Principal of Towers Perrin (now Willis Towers Watson), a global human resources consulting firm, where she was Director of Corporate Development, responsible for structuring and negotiating acquisitions and partnerships. Prior to this, Elena was a managing consultant in the firm’s New York office, specialising in marketing and strategy solutions for Fortune 1000 companies. Before joining Towers Perrin, Elena was a marketing strategy consultant at Hayes Hill, Inc., a boutique consulting firm. As a consultant, she assisted large corporations in assessing new markets, designing marketing strategies, and developing their business plans.
Elena has had a lifelong interest in the culture and art of India. She travels regularly to India, and is a supporter of the Indian and Islamic department at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She also serves on the board of Penumbra, a non-profit arts organisation dedicated to educating the public on historic photographic processes and supporting artists working in photography.
Elena holds a BA in Government from Harvard University and an MBA from the Yale School of Management. She and her husband live in New York and have two grown children.
